Purpose of the organisation

Karolinska Institutet is the largest center for medical training in the country and has comprehensive international exchange programs. The objective is that through research, education and information participate in the upgrading of human health.

R&D activity

Karolinska Institutet is the only university in Sweden with an exclusive focus on medicine. The researchers at Karolinska Institutet account for around 35 percent of the state funded medical research in Sweden. Research at Karolinska Institutet (KI) spans the whole field of medicine, from fundamental molecular biology to public health and care sciences.
