R&D activity

Research at Linnaeus University is multifaceted, with both in-depth subject study and interdisciplinary specialisation. It spans humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and technology, and includes a number of well-established fields of research, ranging from labour market policy, welfare issues and entrepreneurship to biological sciences, aquatic ecology and wood and energy technology.

All the faculties at Linnaeus University offer third-cycle programmes which lead to a licentiate or a PhD. Approximately 400 research students are involved in over 45different subjects.

Linnaeus University is a merge between Växjö University and University of Kalmar.
